Koinonia Gatherings

What are "Koinonia Gatherings"?

Koinonia gatherings will encompass prayer, communion, joint participation, sharing and intimacy. Koinonia can refer in some contexts to a jointly contributed gift. This word appears 19 times in most editions of the Greek New Testament. In the New American Standard Bible, it is translated "fellowship" 12 times, "sharing" 3 times, and "participation" and "contribution" twice each. The first usage of koinonia in the Greek New Testament is found in Acts 2:42–47.

What does it mean to be in “Koinonia” (Community) with your group?

You will connect with women in new ways honoring the tradition of fellowship around the table by clinging to the truth of God’s word as hard topics are engaged through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit.

Are You Feeling Motion Sick?

By Harmony Vuycankiat | March 19, 2019

The engulfing rapids of signs and wonders that accompany God’s presence are intended to push us further towards our destination while at the same time give us joy during the journey. But many of us are so consumed with knowing the who, what, when, where, and why of church as normal (a.k.a. the safe and familiar route from Point A to Point B) that we are caught off guard when the Holy Spirit comes in with a new flow of His presence.

Today, my Biggest Struggle is with....

In response to the rise of marital breakdown today, women suffering from marital problems need a space to talk about challenging topics that the corporate church may not be addressing. Through Koinonia Gatherings you can step into an environment that equips and encourages women to engage in hard conversations.

You will experience an open table discussion format where the global and personal struggles of marriage will be brought into the light and healing can be found. You will be given the space and opportunity to confront the enemy through the power of the Holy Spirit and you will be equipped with tools of spiritual warfare to bring peace and unity to your marriage.

Marital Problems

Family Problems

You will have the opportunity to engage in conversations on the importance of Holy Spirit led parenting in a world where the breakdown of family is so prevalent. The discussion will include - but is not limited to - divorce, emotional stability, infidelity, abuse, pornography, boundaries, family unity, and shame. These tough topics will be highlighted through the powerful application of God’s word.

You will learn how to engage the battle in your homes by applying the fruits of the Spirit. You will be encouraged to confidently step into your God-given identities as individuals, mothers and wives reinforcing the truth of Psalm 139 that we are each uniquely and wonderfully made with a divine purpose.

As stay at home moms, you will learn how to authentically engage the attack on motherhood by recognizing the scope of what mothers do. Some struggles of this life stage may include but are not limited to loneliness, comparison, self-destructive behaviors, coping mechanisms, busy-ness, unhealthy relationships and loss of identity.

You will be motivated and empowered as moms to step out of your comfort zone by seeking community with other moms who are in a similar life stage. You will be encouraged to seek mentoring relationships with seasoned women based on the truths found in Titus 2.

Challenges of Being a Stay at Home Mom

In a Place of Wavering Faith

Given the instability that comes with transition and change, you will learn to rely on the faithful word of God by applying His enduring promises to your life. When trials happen that test your faith, you will be drawn back to the importance of seeking the fullness of Christ through prayer and worship.

Your strength will rise as you fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. This revelation of the assurance of your salvation will cause you to become more aware of the wholeness that He offers.

You will be inspired to shift your focus from self to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit maximizing the untapped power that comes from honoring their supreme authority in our lives. Victory happens through acts of worship and prayer opening our hearts and ears to hear the voice of God more clearly.

2 Chronicles 20:1-30 says that we win our battles by looking at the majesty of God and not the magnitude of our circumstances. Through thanksgiving, praise and communion you will become fervent in your pursuit of holiness bringing awareness of His goodness.

Inside the pages you will come across powerful stories that point to transformation and life-change. Her Story is being written because their hope is to ignite a passion in women to fiercely pursue personal revelation of their identity in Christ.  When they first met, Harmony was actively pursuing the Holy Spirit and Amy was just starting her journey with the Holy Spirit.
